I/ITSEC Highlights

FLAMES version 15.0 is loaded with over 100 changes and enhancements, simplifying the development of FLAMES-based simulations. Licenses and installation DVDs of the FLAMES 15.0 Runtime Suite were available for interested booth visitors.

Proven Solution for U.S. Air Force’s C2WSPTT

The FLAMES-based C4I training simulation C2WSPTT is used to train US Air Force Air and Space Operation Center (AOC) warfighters. C2WSPTT is an on-demand, single-server, resident modeling and simulation capability that stimulates an AOC environment, allowing for in-garrison training without the need for outside agency support. Due to its innovative design, small footprint, and reduced manpower requirements, C2WSPTT is an extremely cost-effective M&S solution that mirrors real C2 data streams and enables warfighters to train as they would actually fight.

The exhibit featured version 2.0 of FAST, a turn-key commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) FLAMES-based simulation that serves as the central constructive simulation in a live-virtual-constructive (LVC) training exercise. FAST is able to simulate thousands of entities in “real time” on a single computer, and supports automated scenario creation by importing Air Tasking Orders (ATO) and Airspace Control Orders (ACO) in US Message Text Format (USMTF). Flexible, versatile, and configurable, FAST can be embedded in operational command and control systems to provide deployable, individual unit training.
