Ternion Awarded Contract with USMC

January 21, 2020 – Ternion Corporation was awarded a $13.3 million dollar contract for the development, sustainment, maintenance, and procurement of the FLAMES Automated Simulation Trainer (FAST). FAST is used as the embedded training simulation of the United States Marine Corps’ (USMC) Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S). The first delivery order of the contract covers FAST operations, maintenance, research, development, and test and evaluation and the procurement of multiple FAST and FAST editor licenses.

FAST is a custom FLAMES-based simulation developed by Ternion Corporation to serve as the central constructive simulation in live-virtual-constructive (LVC) training exercises. Over the course of CAC2S development, FAST has been integrated into CAC2S and interfaced with several CAC2S systems to support CAC2S operator training.

CAC2S is managed within the portfolio of Program Executive Officer Land Systems (PEO LS) in Quantico, Virginia. The work for the contract will be performed by Ternion Corporation in Huntsville, Alabama.
