AFRL Expands FLAMES Usage

October 11, 2006 – The Air Force Research Lab Air Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/VA) expanded its FLAMES installation further with additional licenses to various applications and options. AFRL/VA uses FLAMES as the framework for several simulations that are used in systems design and analysis and that provide the synthetic environment for virtual simulators.

Johns Hopkins Purchases Additional FLAMES Licenses

April 19, 2006 – The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab (APL) purchased additional FLAMES licenses to support the Air Force Research Lab Air Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/VA) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. APL uses FLAMES in virtual simulator programs and for the analysis of net-centric operations.
