FLAMES, as a true simulation framework, allows simulations to be composed from numerous combinations of independently developed, plug-and-play software models. In addition, FLAMES-compatible models and their associated datasets can be shared between FLAMES-based simulation developers. The life-cycle cost of simulations can be reduced and the quality and utility of simulations can be improved as redundant model development is eliminated through model sharing.
There is a rapidly-expanding community of FLAMES-based simulation developers who have developed models that they are willing to share and who are interested in using models developed by others. To facilitate FLAMES-compatible model and dataset sharing, Ternion Corporation has developed and maintains the FLAMES Resource Catalog.
The FLAMES Resource Catalog is a web-accessible database containing information about FLAMES-based applications and FLAMES-compatible models and datasets that have been developed by FLAMES users around the world. The Catalog supports intuitive means of searching for applications, models, and datasets and provides a point-of-contact for each such resource from which additional information about the resource or a copy of the resource itself may be obtained.
A username and password is required to access the FLAMES Resource Catalog. Usernames are issued by Ternion Corporation to those with a valid interest in FLAMES resources and who submit a completed FLAMES Resource Catalog Account Application.
