Huntsville, AL – June 6, 2008
- Ternion Corporation is pleased to announce the release of FLAMES, version
7.1. This is a relatively small release because Ternion has some exciting
new features that it wants to provide to customers quickly. A few of these
new features are summarized below. See the What’s New section of the FLAMES
7.1 documentation for additional details on these and other product enhancements.

Enhanced Analysis Option Enhancements. FIRE
has been enhanced to read a new type of file called an "experiment
file" – a file that can contain values for scenario variables and
execution parameters for an unlimited number of executions of a scenario.
Experiment files can be created quickly with text editors, spreadsheet
programs, JMP,
and ModelCenter. They make performing
parametric trade studies and Monte Carlo analysis with FLAMES easier than
ever.
New Network Database
Option. The new Network Database option available in FLAMES version
7.1 provides improved performance and security when applications executing
on one computer are accessing a FLAMES scenario database resident on another
computer.
DIS Option
Enhancements. The DIS
option has been enhanced to include support for additional versions
of DIS and an additional PDU. In addition, DIS option settings now include
additional parameters for fine-tuning network communications.
Customers with active software maintenance will receive version 7.1 upon request at no additional cost. Please contact customer support to make your request.
