Ternion Corporation participated in the 2002 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, & Education Conference (I/ITSEC) December 2-5 in Orlando, FL. We showcased our newest Option to FLAMES, the FLAMES Advanced Correlated Terrain (FACT), and gave a sneak preview of version 5.1 which will include the Correlated Features Option. FLAMES 5.1 is planned to be released in the spring of 2003.
In addition, we were pleased to have three of our customers in our booth, demonstrating their FLAMES-based products in an effort to show a few of the many uses of FLAMES. The NATO C3 Agency demonstrated their ITC product; Raytheon showed how they use FLAMES within their JEEDS vehicle; and Smiths Aerospace set-up the Distributed Wargaming System (DWS) they designed for the Republic of China Air Force.
We would also like to thank CG2®, a Quantum3D® Company for allowing us to use MANTIS for viewing FLAMES FACT in 3D and Terrex, Inc. for loaning us their example terrain database to demonstrate FACT’s capabilities and for demonstrating FLAMES in their booth. We also appreciate the U.S. Army’s C3Driver Program, and the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Munitions Directorate for demonstrating their FLAMES-based applications in their booths at I/ITSEC 2002.
