May 9, 2003 – Ternion Corporation is pleased to announce that the 505 Training Group has won the 2002 Air Force Modeling and Simulation Cross-Functional Award with their FLAMES-based Command and Control Weapons System Part Task Trainer (C2WSPTT) Simulation. See award announcement below:
Description of acheivements/contributions:
The Air Force Command and Control Training and Innovation Group (AFC2TIG) developed Command and Control Weapons System Part Task Trainer (C2WSPTT) to provide a low-cost, on-demand, resident modeling and simulation (M&S) capability to stimulate an Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) environment. Due to its innovative design, small footprint and reduced manpower requirements, C2WSPTT has proven to be extremely cost effective M&S solution to meet a variety of cross-functional requirements.
The Air Force Command and Control Innovation and Training Group is awarded the 2002 Department of Defense Modeling and SImulation Award for cross-functional support. Their innovative design of Command and Control Weapons Systems Part Task Trainer resulted in an extremely cost effective solution to meet a variety of cross-functional requirements to include Air and Space Operations Center training, stimulation of command and control warrior education, testing, exercise and demonstration support, and mission planning and analysis.
