FLAMES 9.1 Released

Huntsville, AL – March 29, 2011 – Ternion® Corporation is pleased to announce the release of FLAMES, version 9.1. This new version has been created to make FLAMES® more affordable for a larger number of organizations.

Creating scenarios with FLAMES Simulation Framework

In version 9.1, the FLAMES Development Suite is subdivided into eight separately priced products:

  • Core Development
  • 3D Option
  • Multithreaded Execution Option
  • Analysis Option
  • Interactive Simulation Option
  • DIS Option
  • HLA Option
  • Checkpoint/Restart Option

The previous, full-featured version of the Development Suite is still available and is now called Premier.

By dividing the Development Suite into separate options, version 9.1 allows customers to purchase only the FLAMES options that they need. Those who do not need all the power of every option can now develop FLAMES-based applications with lower licensing and maintenance fees.

Also with version 9.1, Windows® development licenses can be 32-bit, 64-bit, or both – at no additional cost.

If you are an existing FLAMES customer who has already upgraded to version 9.0, we recommend you upgrade to version 9.1. Upgrading will be very easy, because version 9.0 and 9.1 are nearly identical (other than a few fixes). If you have not yet upgraded to version 9.0, you should seriously consider upgrading to version 9.1 to take advantage of all the new features that have been added to FLAMES. Customers with active software maintenance will receive version 9.1 upon request at no additional cost. Please contact customer support to make your request.

Free runtime copies of FLAMES, version 9.1 are available by request.
