FLAMES System Requirements

FLAMES® is available on Windows® and Linux® . As a result, there is a good chance that FLAMES will run on the computers you already have. Perhaps more importantly, the source code to the custom FLAMES-based applications that you develop on one type of computer is portable to another, usually without modification.

The sections below list the system requirements for each computer type.

C or C++ development environment (compiler, debugger, etc.) compatible with Visual Studio® 2010

Additional Software for Online Help

Microsoft HTML Help Viewer version 1.2 or later and Internet Explorer® version 5.0 or later

Additional Requirements for 3D Option

Graphics card with a minimum of 128 MB texture memory, support for OpenGL 1.2 or higher, and support for S3 texture compression (S3TC)

Additional Requirements for HLA Option

RTI compatible with DMSO RTI1.3NG-V6

Additional Requirements for Multithreaded Execution Option

Performance improvements will be realized only on computers with two or more cores/processors
